Workout tip: Doing the correct workout in the gym to get the correct results
Why people give up
I think the main reason people give up on their workout routine is because they done train the right way. People usually assume they know exactly what to do in the gym and this infuriates me as a personal trainer in Windsor. The reason being is that the people who give up on the gym think they know what’s best to get the correct results. So when they don’t see them appearing on their body they say that the gym is a load of rubbish.
Doing the right workout
Getting advice on what to do is where you should start before you even step foot in a gym. The power is in the knowing of how to get to your results. At least you are on the right path and you don’t second guess your exercise. Once you start to doubt yourself you will start to lose all motivation to even go the gym. Starting with a clear view of what has to be done will give you piece of mind that you’re going in the right direction.
Changing the workout to keep it interesting
You can also lose motivation when you hit a plateau with training. Once you know you’ve hit one of these it’s time to change. There will be something that isn’t giving in your training. It can be frustrating when this happens and if you don’t know what to do in this situation. It can leave you in a position of confusion. You might think your putting in all this work and getting nothing in return. If you get stuck on getting stronger on a certain lift for example. You will need to investigate to find out what the issue might be. Make a plan with the info found, this could be a slight tweak of volume or weight in your plan.

If you find yourself in a situation where you aren’t changing your physique or conditioning. Don’t just quit, get rid of your pride of knowing it all and ask for help.
