London runs at a fast pace, other than the traffic! People are constantly on the go. As a result, it is likely you are going to need take a little bit of well earned time off. In addition to this, I meet many people who travel for work. Personal Training in Richmond, London is often governed by whether clients are in the country or not! Whether it’s a holiday or time way for business, try these hotel workouts to give your brain a break.
I was recently out of the country and without access to anything other than the hotel gym. If you find yourself in a similar situation, try any or all of these workouts.
Interval Hotel Workout 1
Pick a “cardio” machine and complete 4 – 6 rounds of the following:
- 1 Minute Medium
- 3 Minutes Hard
- 1 Minute Easy
This workout is super easy, takes between 20 and 30 mins and can be done on most machines.
Gymnastic Hotel Workout 2
Gymnastic basics, can you hold your own weight?! Complete 2 – 3 Rounds:
- 20 sec Hold half way down a Press Up + 3-5 Press Ups
- 20sec Squat Hold + 3 Squats + 3 Squat Jumps
- 20 sec Hold half way down a Sit Up + 3-5 Sit Ups
Done properly, this is way harder than it sounds!
“The Climb” Hotel Workout 3
A longer slog – Complete anywhere between 2 – 10 Rounds:
- 1 Minute Treadmill walk at max gradient
- 1 Minute Down Ups
If you fancy making this a little more tricky try carrying a 10kg weight plate on the treadmill!
Keep It Quick
If you’re on holiday you don’t want to be slogging away in the gym. If you’re away for business you’re probably going to be working long hours. Because of this, keep your time in the gym short but keep the intensity high. Get in, get work done, get out.
